Bostonia, BU’s alumni magazine, is always on the search for unique alumni profiles. When we met Ian Schon, his journey to the fundamentals of design and material nature was a great fit for our tactile style of filmmaking. In a single shoot lasting half a day, we followed Ian around his studio in Allston, MA, and immersed ourselves in his world of watchmaking.

BU College of Engineering reached out to us with an ask to quick-turn a set of three highlights for BU Senior Design projects, illustrating their core idea of The Societal Engineer.
To meet the challenge, we made use of simple but elegant “working” scenes along with student interviews to tell the story of each project’s novel visual/auditory accessibility.
INTRO TO STUDENT HEALTH SERVICES

Student Health Services (SHS) approached 4th District looking to help incoming students at orientation better understand their services, in an approachable and personable way. To do so, we chose to lead with intentional scene-work and welcoming personalities of the staff, covering both physical and mental health. The idea is to get students to see that although it might seem intimidating at first, SHS is run by kind people who really look out for their health on campus.
